NAIROBI, KENYA, 23rd June 2022: Grace Health and Penda Health are thrilled to announce their strategic partnership. This milestone accelerates the mission to provide affordable access to women’s health services in emerging markets.

- We can now offer our Kenyan users 24/7 subsidized telemedicine and medical services in physical clinics. This is a game-changer for us and will add even more value to our users, says Estelle Westling, CEO and founder of Grace Health.

Medical care in emerging markets is heavily inaccessible, especially for women. Grace Health combines cutting-edge technology with a carefully tailored user experience and is today the most downloaded health app in Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Ghana.

By integrating Penda Health in the Grace Health light-weight app, Kenyan women can access highly trusted medical services such as advanced diagnostic, imaging, and gynaecology consultations.

Commenting on the new partnership, Penda Health Head of Medical Services, Dr Sarah Kiptinness said, “We are delighted to be the exclusive telemedicine partner for users of the Grace Health App. Penda's telemedicine services and network of 19 medical centres are the perfect complements. We will ensure that all services provided to Grace Health users are compliant with clinical and medical regulations in Kenya and that they receive appropriate care and treatment in line with our standard operating procedures.”

In the Grace Health App, women can track their cycles, learn about family planning, and get answers to their questions about sexual and reproductive health. When they need to speak to a clinician, they can access Penda's low-cost telemedicine services at a further 10% discount.

“Our branches all over Nairobi, Kajiado, and Kiambu counties are conveniently located for anyone in those areas.  This partnership is a great step forward in ensuring access to high-quality and affordable health services for women in Kenya”, said Dr Sarah Kiptinness.

For Judy Kikata, Grace Health’s Sales & Partnership Manager in Nairobi, this collaboration marks the beginning of a new chapter.

- Women in emerging markets have long felt judged, scared, and ashamed when seeking medical consultation about their reproductive health. These women trust Grace Health App and they tell us everything. Now we have found a partner whom they can equally trust and to which we can refer them when they need instant access to a doctor.
